Is the Food Handler Certificate exam hard?

The final exam has 50 multiple choice questions and a 60-minute time limit. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the exam.

CIFS students also have unlimited attempts at writing the Food Handler exam included with every course enrolment. So, the exam can be written as many times as required as long as students are within their 30-day enrolement period and have not been suspected of cheating during any of the previous attempts.

Although the Food Handler Certificate exam isn’t difficult, it's essential for students to study the course material properly and understand the safety rules for handling, preparing and storing food in a way to best reduce the risk of individuals becoming sick from food-borne illnesses.
